Hey, I’m Hilary. Born in Toronto, but raised in Edmonton, Canada by immigrant parents, my work asks questions about how we create a community, a culture and a soul that is for everyone? Things connect together in strange ways and design to me is listening, understanding, empathizing and knowing that we can figure things out together—whatever that means to us.
I’ve have a Bachelor of Design with a major in Visual Communication and a minor in Marketing from the University of Alberta. I am also the proud co-founder, designer of Circe Magazine, a non-profit that publishes an annual print magazine showcasing the work of emerging creatives and throws events such as galleries and concerts that get the art kids out of their studios and into a room together. (Art kids definitely party.)
When my eyelashes aren’t being burnt off by the blue light from my computer screen, I’m probably snowboarding, painting, or at home passed out with my two perfect, crazy, well-named cats, Blair (Waldorf) and Lana (Del Rey).
