Isolation: Illustration

This 18 x 24-inch illustration explores the mental landscape of isolation, focusing on feelings of loneliness, quiet melancholy, and self-loss. By combining traditional and digital mediums, the piece achieves a layered and textured aesthetic that enhances its emotional depth. The process began with wet ink on Chinese ink painting paper, which was scanned and digitally layered. Adjusting opacities allowed for the creation of a moody, abstract environment that reflects feelings of vulnerability and emptiness. This piece seeks to resonate with viewers, using visual storytelling to evoke empathy and an emotional response.
